Dr. Shimon graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. He has over 24 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine, working in both critical care and private practice. Dr. Shimon also attended the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in Florida and is trained in alternative medicine and is a certified veterinary acupuncturist. He incorporates acupuncture as well as herbal and food therapy in the treatment of dogs and cats. Acupuncture can be beneficial for many conditions, including musculoskeletal conditions, neurologic disorders, gastrointestinal disease, and other chronic conditions (such as coughing, asthma, behavioral problems, and geriatric weakness).
