We would like to take a moment to update you regarding our COVID-19 policy. Back in March of 2020, not many of us had an idea how this virus would be managed or what the restrictions of a pandemic would look like, or certainly how long it would last. At OCVC, moving to curbside service was not an easy decision, nor one that we believed we would still have in place one year later.
Over the past year, we have developed a network of other veterinarians, local business leaders and lawyers, in addition to health organizations to develop our policies here at OCVC. We have done this in an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible AND remain available for our patients care. We continue to reevaluate every four weeks.
While we believe we are getting closer to the time when we will be able to let clients back into the clinic, we are not there yet. At this time we do not have a specific date that we will reopen, but we hopeful it will be over summer and give us something else to look forward to beyond warmer temperatures.
As of mid-March, we have decided to open back up availability for nail trim appointments with technicians. These are currently limited to four slots per day while we work back into the swing of things. This limitation will allow our technicians to still be able to focus on assisting our doctors with appointments, while being able to bring a bit of normality back to the clinic.
In addition to opening these slots, we have also decided it is best to make a certain exception on entering the building. No one likes to talk about it, but when it comes to euthanasia, we want you and your fur baby to feel as comfortable as possible. We are currently allowing two people into the building with masks, to accompany for euthanasia. If you do not have a mask, please let us know and we will provide one for you. We do still request that you give our office a call upon arrival. We will escort you to our euthanasia room and proceed with this as we normally would with the clinic open to the public.
We will update you again when any changes are made. In the meantime, we will remain curbside service, and ask that you call 414 301 9113, when you arrive in the parking lot for any type of appointment or for a food/prescription pick up. Stay safe!
