The Easter bunny has finally arrived! Planting colorful eggs filled with chocolate candies and getting together for a family feast is what most look forward to around this time of year. However, almost all Easter candy is toxic to dogs and cats. The excitement can be almost blinding when we have the little ones searching for eggs in the yard! Always keep an eye out as the family pet could also get into a few eggs before the children find them. Dogs and cats can also get into left out Easter baskets as well. A good rule of thumb is to familiarize yourself with local emergency veterinarian clinics in your area so if anything happens, you can be prepared if your regular veterinarian office is closed. We all want to have a happy, stress-free holiday that all members of the family can be involved in. By keeping these tips in mind, we hope that all family plans go without a hitch!
